The mountainous region’s highest peak is Mount Tahat, towering 2,908 meters above sea level. The area has dramatic volcanic cores, unique vegetation, and wild animals. It is also the home of the Bedouin people. It’s an exceptional place to hike and take in the rugged landscape the way countless nomads have for millennia, and truly one of the most beautiful places in Africa.
