Rugby Africa has continued its onward growth in Africa by spearheading World Rugby’s “Get into Rugby Program.” This effort is in collaboration with Société Générale, the official partner of the program. Part of the growth plan is to increase the number of new players, coaches, and referees. The program will also promote the game by ensuring that the game is played in safe environments that are consistent with the Charter of World Rugby.

Indeed, two workshops have already been held, during which the participants were updated on World Rugby’s new strategy. Additionally, the webinar dealt with how to best manage mass participation in the game while taking into consideration unique challenges that are present in the African continent. Secondly, the webinar dealt with the topic of Long-Term Player Development with particular attention on skill progression through game-based coaching.”
