This proverb has indicated the importance of choosing your environment and company wisely. We must be very careful as humans to select our friends and environment precociously in other for us to have the peace that we need. We often time bring troubles to ourselves by allowing just anyone and anything into our space, this act of carelessness has cost many their lives, their possessions and even their sanity as they were betrayed and destroyed by the same things and people they allowed into their space.
