Nigerian Universities To Absorb Students Who Fled Ukraine War

The Federal Government of Nigeria has offered slots for students who fled the war in Ukraine to continue their education in local universities and other tertiary institutions in the country.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the foreign affairs ministry says efforts are being made to “facilitate their placement into various Nigerian tertiary institutions”.

The ministry has provided a registration form asking interested Nigerian students to fill in on its website. Thousands of Nigerian students were evacuated from Ukraine in the wake of the Russian invasion of the country – disrupting their studies.
